- Set Up a Water Station: Create a water station in the classroom where kids can easily refill their bottles. This way, they won’t need to leave the room to get a drink, and they’ll be more likely to stay hydrated during class.
- Water Break Reminders: Use a timer or a fun signal, like a bell or a song, to remind kids to drink water throughout the day. Make it part of the routine, especially before or after activities, so they remember to hydrate.
- Encourage Reusable Water Bottles: Have students bring their own reusable water bottles with their names on them. You can even offer small prizes or rewards for kids who bring their bottles every day.
- Model Good Habits: Drink water in front of the class! Kids love to follow their teacher’s example, so when they see you staying hydrated, they’ll be more likely to do the same. Lead by example and show how easy and important it is to drink water throughout the day!

- Mark Drink Goals: Draw lines on your child’s water bottle to show how much they should drink by certain times of the day. This can help them keep track and stay on top of their hydration.
- Add Flavour to Water: Make water more interesting by adding fresh fruits, veggies, or herbs like cucumber or mint. It’s a fun way to mix things up and make water even more enjoyable!
- Use the Pee Color Chart: Show your child how the colour of their urine can help them understand if they’re drinking enough water. If it’s too dark, it’s a sign they need to drink more.
