Encourage self-care amongst your class by starting a conversation about well-being, but make it fun! Share your own self-care practises and ask the children to share their ideas too. Consider organising self-care activities during break time or after school, whether it’s crafting, playing musical instruments or exploring nature.

Self-care
I love me! Self-care is about looking after ourselves in many ways. How can we help our bodies stay happy? This can include simple things like getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods, and staying active by playing or exercising. It’s also about taking time to relax and do things you enjoy, like reading a book or spending time with friends.
- Take a minute now to have a think about what makes you happy and try and include these things throughout your week!
- Taking care of yourself, can be anything that makes you smile and feel better like reading a book or drawing.
- Be kind to yourself, you are awesome!
Self-care is about looking after ourselves from the food we eat, the sleep we get, keeping our bodies clean and the movement we give our body. It is also about the ways we help our body stay happy and calm.
